Students of East West University have taken a position on the Aftabnagar Jahurul Islam City Road in the capital, supporting the one-point program called by the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement to bring down the government.
There was no visible presence of law enforcement in the entire area.
Hundreds of students were seen occupying the area, chanting various slogans around 11:30am on Sunday.
Meanwhile, thousands of protestors are demonstrating at Badda, Pragati Sarani, and Rampura Bridge without any hindrance. Traffic around these areas is at a standstill, with no public transport running on the roads. Only rickshaws and autorickshaws are operational, causing significant inconvenience for the general public due to the transport crisis.
Protesters under the “Anti-Discrimination Student Movement” banner announced their one-point demand for the fall of the government during a rally at the central Shaheed Minar on Saturday. They also called for an indefinite period of total “non-cooperation movement” starting Sunday.
