Awami League begins rally in Tejgaon before procession

Dhaka North Awami League organized the program to counter BNP's road march

The ruling Awami League has brought out a rally in the capital's Tejgaon area on Wednesday afternoon for the second day in a row.

Activists from the ruling party and its various affiliated fronts gathered close to the Satrasta intersection in Tejgaon in preparation for the procession, which will take place following the rally.

A makeshift stage has been set on the roads leading from Moghbazar to Mohakhali.

Dhaka city (north) unit Awami League organized the program to counter BNP's road march program.

Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif, at the rally, said that the aim of BNP's programs was to make the country unstable.

“We observed BNP leaders and activists participating in a road march while carrying sticks, raising concerns about their aggressive approach.,” he said.

He emphasized that if BNP engages in any acts of violence, members of Awami League will respond appropriately.

The rally will be addressed by the party's General Secretary Obaidul Quader.

They will also bring out processions in cities and districts under Rangpur, Dhaka, Khulna and Mymensingh divisions.
