Four hurt in crude bomb blasts near New Market in capital

Two groups of students clash since 8:45pm

At least four people have been injured in crude bomb explosions during a clash that broke out between two groups of students near the New Market area in the capital.

Multiple crude bombs exploded on the main streets and inside the Teachers' Training College, according to media reports.

The clashes were reported since 8:45pm in the area. 

Later police imposed a restriction on the movement of vehicles and pedestrians were also barred from crossing the area. 

New Market Police Inspector Ghiyasuddin said that police are trying to bring the situation under control. Forces from nearby areas would arrive at the scene, reported UNB.
 
Meanwhile, pedestrians claimed that students were snatching their mobile phones. Besides, bikers are being beaten and their helmets are being taken away from them.
