Radwan Mujib Siddiq, grandson of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, has stressed the need for an intensive last-minute door-to-door campaign for securing the victory of Awami League mayor candidates in the elections to Dhaka’s two city corporations, slated for February 1.
Radwan, also a voter under Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), expressed this view when he paid a surprise visit to the campaign office of the ruling party’s DNCC mayor aspirant Atiqul Islam at Banani Monday night, reports BSS.
Atiqul and other leaders of the party were present at the time.
Radwan, also a trustee of the Centre for Research and Information (CRI), called upon the Awami League leaders and activists to reach out to as many voters as possible.
He simultaneously advocated the idea of getting voters informed of the proven track record of the ruling party candidates that set them apart from others.
