A coaching centre teacher has been arrested for sexually harassing a female student of his coaching centre in Mohammadpur area of Dhaka.
The arrestee Abul Hossain works in the accounts department of Mohammadpur Government High School, and runs a coaching centre in the area.
Confirming it, Inspector (investigation) Abul Kalam Azad of Mohammadpur police station said they arrested Abul Hossain, on Wednesday, after a case was filed with the police station against him under Women and Children Repression Prevention Act by the victim's brother.
"We shall be able to disclose the details after finishing the investigation which is now at a primary stage," said the inspector.
The plaintiff of the case told Dhaka Tribune that his 11-year-old sister used to take tuition from Abul Hossain. "But, he (Azad) used to inappropriately grope several students while teaching them," he said.
