An initiative of publishing a graphic novel based on the unfinished memoirs of Bangabandhu had been taken in 2014.
Under the supervision of CRI, the first part of the graphic novel series was launched on the 96th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation on Mar 17, 2015. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th parts were published later.
The graphic novel series, titled “The Unfinished Memoirs”, will be published in 12 parts in total.A competition of drawing the likeness of Bangabandhu in graphic novel and comic style was held at the auditorium of Bangabandhu Museum from 10am to 1pm on Saturday. The event was organized by Centre for Research and Information (CRI).
About 30 children from different schools took part in the competition. The top six participants received crests and awards.
“We hoped that someday we would get to see the image of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman our children have in their hearts. Children painting their imagination of our liberator truly express their love for him,” said Radwan Mujib Siddiq, grandson of Bangabandhu. He is also a trustee of CRI.
