Maritime ports asked to hoist signal 3

“Deep convection is continuing over North Bay adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh. Squally weather may affect the maritime ports, North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh,” the Met Office said in a notice published on their website on Wednesday morning. Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal No 3. The Met Office also advised all fishing boats and trawlers in the North Bay to anchor close to the coast until further notice.
