The maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal number three due to a steep pressure gradient over the North Bay and adjoining areas.
In an alert issued on Tuesday, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) asked all fishing boats and trawlers operating over the North Bay to come close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice.
