Joint forces have detained five people for their alleged involvement in creating instability in the readymade garment sector in Savar, Dhaka.
Ashulia police station sent the arrestees to court on Saturday morning.
They were arrested in raids in different areas of Ashulia on Friday night.
The arrestees have been identified as Shahidul Islam, 32, Alkas Molla, 36, Azaharul Islam, 42, Majidul Islam, 28, and Rasel Talukder, 35.
Ashulia police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Abu Bakar Siddique confirmed the matter.
The police have said that a group is deliberately inciting workers to destabilize the garment industry. This group provokes protesting workers to vandalize factories, block roads, and damage vehicles and infrastructure.
