A chaotic situation was created at the discussion meeting of Hasnat Abdullah, coordinator of the anti-inequality student movement, held at the Khagrachari Town Hall auditorium.
Khagrachari coordinators have blamed Chhatra league activists who attended the event disguised as students, for the chaos.
The meeting, scheduled for 3 pm on Monday, was intended to discuss the families of those who died in the quota reform and government downfall movements and to address issues like corruption, extortion, and terrorism.
Masudur Rahman, one of the coordinators in Khagrachari, stated: "The disorder was caused by Chhatra league activists who came disguised as students."
Previously, on Sunday, a similar meeting led by Hasnat Abdullah at the Social Science Faculty auditorium of Chittagong University also faced disruptions and physical altercations over various questions.
The situation was brought under control shortly after Hasnat Abdullah intervened.
Furthermore, another coordinator, Sarjis Alam, had called for a discussion meeting in Narsingdi on Monday, which also reported incidents of disorder.
