Amatullah Bushra, the prime suspect in the death of Buet student Fardin Noor Parash, was released on bail from Kashimpur Women's Central Jail in Gazipur after around two months on Tuesday afternoon.
Jailer Farhana Akhtar of Kashimpur Women's Central Jail confirmed the release, adding that Bushra's father Manjurul Islam took her from the jail.
Sources said, a bail hearing was held for Bushra on January 5. The court was then waiting for the order after the hearing.
Later, on Sunday, Judge Tahsin Iftekhar of Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court-7 granted her bail.
Bushra was arrested from her Banasree home in Dhaka on November 10 soon after the recovery of Fardin's body. She was sent to jail after expiry of her five-day remand on November 16.
