The 30th national council of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the student wing of the ruling Awami League, will be held at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital on Tuesday.
On the occasion of this conference, the traffic department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has decided to close some roads and provide road diversion in the area around Suhrawardy Udyan.
The information was revealed in a notification from the public relations wing of DMP on Monday.
According to the notification, commuters have been requested to avoid traffic movement at Kataban Crossing, Hotel Intercontinental Crossing, Kakrail Mosque Crossing, Kakrail Church Crossing, UBL Crossing, High Court Crossing, Doel Chotwor Crossing, DU Medical Center, Jagannath Hall Crossing, DU Vaskorjo crossing, Vice Chancellor Building as these roads will be closed on the occasion of Chhatra League's conference.
Commuters of the city have been requested to use alternative roads in the vicinity of Suhrawardy Udyan.
Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the 30th National Council of Chhatra League at 10:30am, reports BSS.
