Eight Fire Service units are working to bring a fire at a plastic factory in Keraniganj, Dhaka, under control.
The fire broke out at Aman Plastic in the Narikel Bag area of Keraniganj on Monday afternoon.
Talha Bin Jasim, an official at the Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters' media wing, confirmed the development.
He said the Fire Service received the alert at 12:30pm on Monday. Five units were initially dispatched to the scene, with three more joining the operation later.
Fire Service personnel are working to bring the blaze under control, he added.
