Istanbul explosion: No Bangladeshis injured

Six people have died and around 53 have been injured

No Bangladeshis were injured in the blast on Istiklal street in the tourist centre of Istanbul, Turkey.

Six people were killed and 53 others were wounded on Sunday when an explosion rocked a busy pedestrian street in central Istanbul in an incident President Tayyip Erdogan called a bomb attack that "smells like terrorism", reports Reuters.

Mohammad Noor-e-Alam, Bangladesh Consul General in Istanbul told Bangla Tribune Sunday night: “There are thousands of Bangladeshis living here. There are always some tourists. However, we have not received any news of any Bangladeshi casualty so far.”
