Bangladesh sees one more Covid death, 102 cases

The mortality rate remained unchanged at 1.45%

Bangladesh reported one more Covid-linked death and 102 cases in the 24 hours to Friday morning.
 
With the new numbers, the country's total fatalities rose to 29,418 and caseload to 2,034,968, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). 
 
The daily case test positivity rate fell to 3.42% from Thursday's 3.60% as 2,986 samples were tested. 
 
The mortality rate remained unchanged at 1.45%. The recovery rate rose to 97.29% from Thursday's 97.27%. 
 
In September, the country reported 40 Covid-linked deaths and 13,251 cases. 
 
Bangladesh registered its highest daily caseload of 16,230 on July 28 last year and its highest number of fatalities of 264 on August 10 the same year.
