A Chhatra League leader has decided to leave politics after not getting his desired post in the newly formed committee of Kishoreganj’s Pakundia upazila unit of the student wing of the ruling Awami League.
Md Armin Ahmed announced his departure by bathing in milk, a video of which he posted on Facebook later on Thursday.
Sources said after almost 12 years a new committee of Pakundia upazila Chhatra League was announced on Wednesday. Armin was made the first vice president of the committee.
Armin about his departure from politics said: “I cannot do politics behind a person who got the post of president after coming from Chhatra Dal. If someone should be made president, it should have been me. The committee was announced on Facebook without telling me about the post.”
Kishoreganj Chhatra League President Md Anwar Hossain Molla said: “After a long time a committee has been formed in Pakundia. Everyone cannot be satisfied according to their preferences in posts.”
