Bangladesh logs 95 Covid cases in 24hrs

Daily infection rate drops to 5.92% from previous day’s 8.9%

Bangladesh reported 95 more Covid-19 cases in 24 hours till Thursday morning.

With the new numbers, the country's total caseload rose to 2,041,989, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Meanwhile, the official death toll from the disease remained unchanged at 29,458 as no new fatalities were reported.

The daily infection rate dropped to 5.92% from Wednesday's 8.9% as 1,606 samples were tested.

The recovery rate stood at 98.33%, and the mortality rate remained unchanged at 1.44%.

Bangladesh registered its highest daily caseload of 16,230 on July 28 in 2021 and its highest number of fatalities of 264 on August 10 of the same year.
