Former finance minister AMA Muhith has tested positive for the coronavirus.
The member of the Awami League's Advisory Council is undergoing treatment at his residence in Dhaka’s Banani.
The 87-year-old had been ill for the past few days and his test came back as positive on July 25, according to his brother ASA Muiz.
The former minister’s son Shahed Muhith has also contracted the virus.
