Some 628 police stations resumed operations across Bangladesh out of 639 till on Monday.
This information was informed in a notification sent from the police headquarters on Monday evening.
According to the police headquarters, activities have resumed at 108 of the 110 stations in the metropolitan areas.
After the fall of the government in the face of the students' movement, around 350 police stations were vandalized and set on fire in various districts of the country including the capital Dhaka.
All police stations were closed for about a week. Police operations started on a small scale last Friday.
Police headquarters said that out of 639 police stations in the country, 628 police stations have started operations.
According to the circular, 108 out of 110 police stations in the metropolitan areas including Dhaka, and 520 out of 529 police stations in the district have started operations.
As eleven stations were damaged completely, operations could not be resumed there, the headquarters said, adding that it would take two to three days more to start activities in those stations.
The suspension of police activities followed significant damage caused during the student-led demonstrations that resulted in the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s government.
