Bangladeshi archers Ruman Shana and Diya Siddiqui reached the final of recurve mix event at the Archery World Cup stage-2 at Lausanne, Switzerland on Thursday.
The pair beat strong Canadian team in the semifinal by 5-3 and will take on the Nederland team, consisted of Van Den Berg Sjef and Schloesser Gabriela, in final on Sunday.
The Bangladeshi duo faced a stern contest in the quarter final round as it ended on 4-4 set. On tie-breaker, all the archers threw one arrow each and the Bangladeshi pair came on top by 19-12 to clinch the match.
During the first round, the pair beat Iran 5-3 before beating Germany by 5-3 in the second round.
It is notable that Roman won Bronze medal in World Archery last time to get a direct qualification for the Tokyo Olympic in individual event.
