Thakurgaon lifted the title of the National Women’s Rugby Championship for the second time after beating debutant Tangail 15-5 in the final at the Paltan ground Tuesday.
After thrashing Narail 15-0 in Sunday’s semi-final, Thakurgaon made the final another one-sided affair.
However, Tangail’s Alisa Rahman was adjudged player of the tournament.
A total of 16 teams took part in the meet.
The others are Dhaka, Narayanganj, Chandpur, Habiganj, Narail, Joypurhat, Rangpur, Jamalpur, Kishoreganj, Cox’s Bazar, Rajshahi and Dinajpur.
