With the participation of a total of 37 metropolis school teams, the Polar Ice Cream 26th School Handball tournament (boys and girls) is set to get underway Thursday at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali Handball Stadium in Dhaka.
A total of 19 boys and 18 girls’ school teams, split into six groups in each section, will compete in the event which will be inaugurated by the girls’ match between Sunnydale School and Shaheed Sheikh Russell Government High School.
A press conference was held Tuesday where it was also revealed that the sponsor, Dhaka Industries Limited will provide Tk13,20,000 out of the total tournament budget of Tk13, 31, 450.
