Bandarban district sports association claimed the Walton Under-17 National Youth Handball Tournament 2024 after beating Dhaka district sports association by 37-22 goals in Wednesday’s final at Paltan’s Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium.
Aungtaimong Marma of the winners scored highest 14 goals in the final and was named the competition’s best player.
National Sports Council’s joint secretary Aminul Islam and Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC. Senior executive director FM Iqbal Bin Anwar were present as chief guests during the final and later distributed the prizes.
Six teams took part in the five-day tournament.
