Bangladesh golfer Siddikur Rahman was tied for 24th place, alongside 14 others, following the first round of the Panasonic Open at Classic Golf and Country Club in Delhi Thursday.
Two-time Asian Tour winner Siddikur carded three-under-par 69 in the opening round, five shots behind early leader Itthipat Buranatanyarat of Thailand.
The 34-year old hit five birdies against two bogeys but play on the opening day was largely overshadowed by air pollution in the surrounding areas.
Many of the players were seen in breathing masks as play began Thursday after a four-hour gap due to unhelpful playing conditions.

Four other Bangladeshi golfers Badal Hossain, Shakhawat Sohel, Mohammad Ismail and Zamal Hossain Mollah are also taking part.
Badal, who carded five birdies against three bogeys, struck one-under-par 71 and shares 59th place along with 13 others while Sohel hit six bogeys and is tied for 117th place alongside three others.
Ismail is at the very bottom at 126th position with nine-over-par 81 while Mollah is tied for 103rd alongside three others with two-over-par 74.
