Bangladesh women’s volleyball team will participate in an international tournament for the first time ever when they play in the Bangamata Asian Senior Women’s Central Zone International Volleyball Championship in Dhaka next month.
Along with the host, Nepal, Maldives, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan will take part in the six-nation tournament scheduled to be held at Mirpur Shaheed Sohrawardi Indoor Stadium in the capital from November 9 to 14.
Bangladesh team comprise 15 players with Shahida Parvin as captain, and they began their preparation two and a half months ago.
