NoFel Sporting Club became the first club to secure a place in the quarterfinals of the Walton U-18 Football Tournament 2018-19 after beating Sheikh Russel KC 2-0 Sunday, while Brothers Union and Chittagong Abahani also reached the last eight from Group A.

In the day’s first game, Piash and Abir scored in the 23rd and 81st minute respectively to salvage three points for Nofel who drew Saif Sporting Club in the first match of Group D.
Brothers defeated Muktijoddha SKC 3-1 in the day’s other match thanks to Jalal, Rashed and Minhajul scoring one apiece. Muktijoddha also lost to Chittagong Abahani in the previous game to see the exit door.
