The Maldives government has been keenly following the development of TC Sports in the Club Cup. The club's head coach Nizam Mohamed informed that their Youth and Sports Minister Iruthisham Adam was effusive in his praise of TC Sports.
“Even the minister has mentioned it on the media thanking myself, the management, the players and the rest of the officials for the great achievement. The president personally called the management of TC Sports and congratulated the club,” said Nizam on Thursday.
TC Sports are a relatively new club in the Maldives top-flight as they got promoted to Dhivehi League for the first time two years ago.

Pocheon and TC Sports faced each other in the last match of the group stage which ended 1-1.
