"Echoes of Existence" art exhibition was inaugurated on Saturday, October 26 2024 at 6pm at Kala Kendra with the artworks (drawings, paintings, videos) of artist Ripon Saha.
The concept represents how every moment of our lives carries an echo, reflecting the complex realities of society, politics and culture. The conflicts, struggles, and voices of human existence that blend with time, but still hold their own. Humans are constantly finding their place within the complex spheres of existence, time, and memory.
The artist said, “We struggle with fundamental questions as we navigate this complex terrain- are our thoughts and decisions really ours, or are they guided by unseen forces? Is everything around us real, or just an echo? ‘Echoes of Existence’ are essentially reflections of invisible forces that govern life and whose influence we feel every day.”
He continues “What I wanted to do was to discover the hidden echoes of everyday social and political reality. In this exploration, I rely on the vibrant language of Pop Art, delving deep into the human psyche through bright colours, familiar icons and images of everyday life, combined with the genre's analysis of the realities of politics and society. This artistic approach not only critiques political and social realities, but also highlights the emotional layers of human existence over time.”
“My intention is to invite people, to examine their own reality deeply. It is not merely an aesthetic experience, it calls for introspection and inquiry. I hope that through these works, you will be inspired to question the invisible echoes that shape your life and the world around you.”
The exhibition will continue on November 11, 2024.
