The 97th Oscar Bangladesh Committee is inviting Bangladeshi filmmakers to submit their films to be submitted for consideration in the “International Feature Film Award” (Foreign Language Competition) category.
Any full-length film with English subtitles, released after November 1, 2023 and before September 30 ,2024, commercially screened in theaters in Bangladesh for 7 consecutive days can participate in the selection process.
Just like previous years, the Bangladesh Federation of Film Societies has initiated the selection process of Bangladesh films in the International Feature Film (Foreign Language Competition) category of Oscar. A 7-member 'Oscar Bangladesh Committee' has been formed with Dr Motin Rahman as the chairman.
The 97th Academy Awards will be held on March 2, 2025, organized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The award will be given to 24 categories at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, California. Best International Feature Film Award is one of them.
Filmmakers interested in submitting their films will need to take part in the selection process by filling up the submission form, from Ashirbad Cholochitro at the capital’s 7/9 Eastern Commercial Complex in 73 Kakrail. and submit it by 5 PM on Saturday, September 21, 2024.
