Actress-producer Rokeya Prachy was removed from the post of vice-president of Television Program Producers Association of Bangladesh (Telepab). General Secretary-Producer Sajjad Hossain Dodul confirmed the news.
Despite losing the post of vice-president, she remains as a general member. The specifics of her disciplinary breaches will be detailed soon said Dodul.
No comments were received from the Prachy regarding the matter.
Prachy has been associated with Awami League politics for a long time. She was also active in various activities of the party.
The actress was last seen visiting Bangabandhu's house at Dhanmondi 32 on August 14. She was one of the only familiar face seen there. After being injured that day, she has not been seen in public.
Earlier, Telepab announced new committee with Arshad Adnan and Sajjad Hossain Dodul as president and general secretary for the period 2024-26 at the bi-annual conference held at Banani Club in the capital on June 8. Prachy was the vice-president of this committee. As such, she lasted less than two months in the new committee.
