A legal notice has been issued to stop the production of the biopic “Aposhhin”, which is reportedly based on BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
The notice has been served to actor Helal Khan, Safar Raj Anwar, and the Bangladesh Film Directors Association (BFDA).
The notice was sent by Barrister Kaiser Kamal, General Secretary of the Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum Central Committee, BNP Central Committee legal affairs secretary, and a Supreme Court lawyer, on Thursday.
Regarding the matter, Barrister Kaiser Kamal said: "Various newspapers have reported that a movie is set to be made about Begum Khaleda Zia. This news has come to our attention. However, neither Khaleda Zia nor her family has given consent for such a movie. We believe this is a malicious attempt to tarnish her name. Therefore, I have sent legal notices to Helal Khan, Safar Raj Anwar, and the Bangladesh Film Directors Association (BFDA) on behalf of my client."
The notice demands that Helal Khan and Safar Raj Anwar cease all activities related to the film within the next five days. It also warns that legal action will be taken if they fail to comply.
