Renowned actor Humaira Himu has been laid to eternal rest, next to her mother's grave in Lakshmipur.
She was buried at around 8:30pm on Friday.
Her funeral was held at 8pm, and it was attended by family members and locals.
Her body was brought to her grandparents' house in Lakshmipur town in an ambulance at around 7pm.
Humaira Himu's maternal uncle and former Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) director, Moinuddin Chowdhury Kamru said: “This is her maternal grandfather's area. Her home is in Chandpur, but she had been living in her maternal grandmother's house since childhood. She is buried next to her mother Shamim Ara Chowdhury's grave."
He added: "Himu's parents are no longer alive. She was their only child. Her father, Engineer Sana Ullah, passed away two months ago, and her mother, Shamim Ara Chowdhury, succumbed to Covid-19 in 2020. However, her parents separated when Himu was young."
Actress Humaira Himu passed away unexpectedly at her residence in Uttara on Thursday. She initially ventured into the theater world through stage plays and made her film debut in 2011 with “Amar Bandhu Rashed”.
