Monon Muntaka has been awarded the twelfth 'Photoffee Photographer of the Year Award (2022)' for her fine-art photography titled 'Texture & Mixture'.
During Muntaka’s 2021 visit to Dinajpur, she got the opportunity to interact with various local communities. From then she began to document the lives of Uraons, Marwaris, and Biharis through still and moving images and audio recordings. Monon Muntaka finished the project in 2023.
The photographer received a crest, certificate, and 20,000 taka for the “Photoffee Photographer of the Year Award (2022)”.
Photoffee coordinator Shishir Chowdhury said, "Since 2011, we have been giving this award to encourage talented and creative young photographers. This is our initiative to encourage fine-art photography in the country. We are proud to have successfully crossed an era without any sponsors.”
