The Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh presents “Woman of Inspiration Award 2022” was held at a five-star hotel in Dhaka on Friday. JCI Bangladesh conceptualized the program and recognized women’s achievement by giving the Women of Inspiration Award 2022 to 14 female leaders in Bangladesh.
The award was presented to honour the extraordinary women who lead by example, live on purpose, and inspire others to be more, aligning with the concept of 2022 International Women’s Day Theme: Break the Bias which tells us to Imagine a gender equal world.
This year, the awards recognized Shomi Kaiser, Azmeri Haque Badhon, Samira Zuberi Himika, Tawhida Shiropa, Sylvana Quader Sinha, Nadia Sarker, Sabrina Rahman, Mariam Javed Juhi, Nigar Sultana Joty, Suranjana Saha, Khodeja Farhad Ruhi, Roksana Rahman, Doyal Akter and Kazi Rufaida Islam for their magnificent display of finesse and irrefutable success in their respective fields.
Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, speaker of Bangladesh National Parliament, virtually attended the event as the chief guest. Turkish Ambassador to Bangladesh HE Mustafa Osman Turan and Vice chancellor of Asian University for Women Dr Rubana Huq were there as distinguished guest.
The program was hosted by Niaz Morshed Elite, national president of JCI Bangladesh. The Chief Co-ordinator of the Women of Inspiration Award 2022 was Tasmina Ahmed Sraboni and Convener of the Ceremony was Tasnuva Ahmed. Ziaul Haque was the Event Advisor while Ismat Jahan was Event Director and coconveners were Khadiza Akter, Taha Yeasin Ramadan, Md Ashikur Rahman. Eazaz Mohammed was the Core Team member of the event. Among others, JCI Bangladesh’s national officers, local presidents, members, business leaders, diplomats and other dignitaries were present at the event.
Performing Lalon songs at the event was Studio LKG (Labik Kamal Gourob, Jalal Ahmed, Nazrul Islam, Ahnaf Khan Anik, Sharfuddin Rabbi and Farshid Alam).
JCI is a non-profit global organization of young active citizens from age 18 to 40 who are engaged and committed to creating impact in their communities. JCI gathers active citizens from all sectors of society and currently JCI Bangladesh has 27 local organizations.
