Filmmakers Piplu Khan, Mejbaur Rahman Sumon, and Abrar Athar have collaborated on a new Chorki anthology film, “Ei Muhurte.” This is the first time that the trio has joined their forces.
"Working with Piplu Bhai and Sumon Bhai was nerve-wrecking, extremely challenging and exciting for me. I got to learn a lot along the way. We are very different storytellers, however all our stories will shed a light on contemporary issues. I hope the audience will appreciate our work,” said Athar.
Mejbaur Rahman Sumon, who is returning from a 12-year hiatus, said, "After almost 12 long years, I am directing a new film, an anthology film made for an OTT platform at that! All in all, I am very excited.”
Piplu Khan, who rose to prominence with his documentary “Hasina: A Daughter’s Tale,” said, “This film is interesting for two reasons. First, it focuses on the societal ills and our perception of them. Second, it is a sensible and sensitive project."
