Turongomi, the first dance based repertory of Bangladesh, is going to stage its latest production, “Odommo: The Indomitable,” at the Experimental Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on Monday, March 14.
Written, designed and choreographed by Pooja Sengupta, the experimental theatrical performance will be held at three different slots, at 7:00pm, 7:45pm and 8.30pm, respectively.
It is based on the life, career and political philosophy of the Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who is portrayed as an indomitable spirit, determined to free his people from foreign oppression.
The play will feature music by Suman Sarkar and take place on a set designed as a giant chess board.
The play was first staged at the National Parade Ground, in front of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, on March 20, 2021.
