Meghagomprio Theatre Company will stage Samuel Beckett’s absurdist classic Endgame on April 25, at the National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy as part of the three-day multidisciplinary festival Chamber of Being.
Directed by Nawajesh Ashraf Easad, the production explores existential limitation, emptiness and human uncertainty. Set in a confined, decaying world, the play follows Hamm, Clov, Nagg and Nell as they navigate isolation, stagnation and the search for meaning.
The production places emphasis on physical performance, silence, and the interplay of light and shadow over conventional dialogue to foreground Beckett’s existential themes.
It will be staged in two shows at 5:30pm and 7:30pm.
