Steven Soderbergh to direct new HBO limited series

The series will follow a police investigation into a botched kidnapping

Director Steven Soderbergh is set to reunite with HBO Max after collaborating on his last two films “No Sudden Move” and “Let Them All Talk.” 

The streaming service has recently announced that the prolific filmmaker will direct all six episodes of its new limited series "Full Circle." Written by Ed Solomon, the series will reunite Soderbergh with his old team from "No Sudden Move." 

IndieWire reports, "The series will center on an investigation into a botched kidnapping that uncovers long-held secrets connecting multiple characters and cultures in present day New York City." 

“We are thrilled to be working with Steven, Ed, and Casey [Bloys] again after the masterful crime drama, ‘No Sudden Move,'” said Joey Chavez, the executive vice president of original drama at HBO Max, said in a statement. “This new limited series is full of twists and turns in the way only this team can do.”

 The release date and casting details for "Full CIrcle" have not been revealed yet. 

Steven Soderbergh is best known for directing films such as "Sex, Lies, and Videotape," "Traffic," "Ocean's trilogy," "Contagion," "Logan Lucky" and others.
