Hollywood filmmaker James Gunn and wrestler-turned-actor John Cena, co-executive producers of the popular American superhero series “Peacemaker” have uploaded a video on Twitter showing Dhaka University's FBS Dance Squad performing to the series’ opening song.
The American superhero television show created by Gunn for the streaming service HBO Max, based on the DC character Peacemaker and the 2021 film “The Suicide Squad” spin-off, has received massive success worldwide.
But the opening credit aka the series' theme song “Do Ya Wanna Taste It” by the Norwegian glam metal band Wig Wam has separately become a fan-favourite.
Sharing a video of the group performing the opening dance sequence of the “Peacemaker” theme track on his Twitter account, Gunn wrote on Thursday: "Man, this is incredible. #Peacemaker in Bangladesh. Performed by FBS Dance Squad at the University of Dhaka".

John Cena, the Peacemaker himself, shared the tweet of Gunn and also praised the performance, writing from his account: “Seeing this to start the day. Wow! Amazing.”
FBS (Faculty of Business Studies) Dance Squad shared both the tweets on its official Facebook page and also retweeted them from its Twitter account. "Thank you so much for this amazing support! It's a great honour for all of us!" the team wrote, replying to Gunn's tweet.
The full performance video will be uploaded soon on its Facebook page, according to the FBS Dance Squad.
One of the highly acclaimed television series in recent times, “Peacemaker” premiered on HBO Max on January 13 with its first three episodes. The rest of the series was released weekly till February 17.
John Cena's brilliant performance as Christopher Smith/Peacemaker, a jingoistic killer who “believes in achieving peace at any cost”, as well as Gunn's direction and writing has earned the series worldwide acclaim among viewers, and HBO Max has commissioned a second season with Gunn writing and directing all episodes.
In a recent interview with the Rolling Stone magazine, Gunn said a part of his goal had been to vanquish the “Skip Intro” option from the audience’s screen. “People work really hard on these things, and you want the audience to be paying attention when their names go by."
