BPL famed Indian model and actor, Sheena Chohan has acted in the role of a journalist in a Hollywood web comedy titled Words, which also features famous American stand-up comedian, actor, voice actor, and impressionist Jim Meskimen.
The web comedy which was released on July 5, is an educational film which focuses on the words of dictionary which are barely accessible by students because academic institutions don’t focus on them, Sheena confirmed with Bangla Tribune.
“This is at the same time an interesting and educational work. I hope the film will inspire the audience to promote education,” she said on her educational venture.
“I am happy because I love the topic of the film. Everything is possible through proper education and this film points out the most important features of education. Working on education as a basic human right has changed my life,” Chohan added.
On her co-artist Jim Meskimen, Sheena said, “Jim is a top Hollywood comedian and working with him is undoubtedly an exciting opportunity. I’ve learnt a lot about comedy from him.”
On a different note, when asked about the possibility of her hosting the Bangladesh Premier League, Sheena expressed her sheer eagerness to host the mega event yet again.
“BPL is a wonderful event in the entire cricket world. Where else can you find such aficionados? Where else you can find such emotion and love for a sport? And on top of all, the hospitality of Bangladeshi people is unparalleled, which makes me feel like home in Dhaka,” Sheena said.
“I don’t know whether I am going to host the next instalment or not as I didn’t receive any such offer as of now. But I would definitely be delighted to have the opportunity again,” she added.
The 29 year old actor, who has returned to Mumbai recently, is working for human rights for a long time now and has campaigned to spread awareness among people regarding education, equality and human rights. Sheena was seen as the lead protagonist “Rima” in Mostofa Sarwar Farooki’s film Piprabidya (Ant Story), which was premiered at the Dubai International Film Festival, in December 2013. Sheena was also nominated for the best actress award at the Dubai and Shanghai International Film Festival for Piprabidya (Ant Story).
