The fifth edition of the biggest domestic cricket league in the country, Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), is set to kick off from November 4. The event will be anchored by internationally-acclaimed model and actress Peya Jannatul this year.
Peya confirmed her presence at the BPL with Showtime, saying that it was an honor for her. She will be flying soon to catch the first match of BPL.
Peya Jannatul will be seen hosting cricket matches directly from the venue during the high-voltage tournament.
A former Miss Bangladesh in 2007, Peya is already a famous face for her appearances in various events in the performing arena. From the cover of a Bangladeshi magazine to the cover of Vogue, Peya has given her best to prove herself every time.
She earned the Miss India Princess Crown in 2013, beating out 19 other talented contestants. Peya was also recently on the cover photo of Vogue India, which is a first for any Bangladeshi celebrity. She became an obvious choice for the producers of Sixty Minutes Australia.
About the BPL, Peya said: “I will be in the field throughout the entire BPL. Although I have experience in the modeling world at home and abroad, the role of a cricket presenter is definitely going to be a new experience for me.”
Previously, Shina Chauhan and Ambrin have been anchors at the BPL.
