As part of the ‘Art against Corona’ initiative, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) is going to organize an art camp with 300 renowned as well as aspiring artistes, who would be given all the required art-equipment to materialize their creative vision.
The artistes will have access to BSA’s National Art Gallery complex, plaza and studios while social distancing is duly implemented by the authorities.
The project of the art camp was initially set in motion by BSA Director General Liaquat Ali Lucky and is currently being run by the Fine Arts department of BSA.
The artistes will submit their artworks from July 8 to July 20, which will in turn be featured in an upcoming exhibition and a catalogue.
Notable artistes Jamal Ahmed, Nazma Akter, Kamal Pasha Chowdhury and Sanjib Das Apu are in charge of coordinating and supervising the art camp.
