To shed light on the disastrous effect of global warming on nature, freelance artists and students art group Outdoor Community has organized an exhibition titled Impression of Nature. It was inaugurated today at Zainul Art Gallery, Dhaka University (DU).
21 artists are participating in this initiative with the aim of encouraging meaningful conversations about the pressing issue of environmental degradation.
DU's Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Professor Nisar Hossain, Managing Director of Magnum Management Consulting Ltd, Deneb Zeenat Latif, Assistant Professor of DU's Department of Law, Taslima Yasmin, and the founder of Green Savers, Ahsan Rony, attended the exhibition.
Outdoor Community said in a press statement: "Nature is losing its youth and colour. We need to do everything we can to raise awareness about that. And so, we are taking a stance here by using black and white canvas."
The exhibition is open to all and will conclude on February 23.
