Ranbir Kapoor’s many avatars as Sanjay Dutt in ‘Sanju’

The teaser for Sanju, Rajkumar Hirani’s biopic on actor Sanjay Dutt, sums up the actor’s journey in one line. “My life is like the snakes and ladders board game,” says Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju as he steps out of prison. “Sometimes up and sometimes down.” The teaser demonstrates the highs and lows of Dutt’s life and shows Kapoor nail an array of looks as he depicts the actor over the years. According to the film, at 22, Dutt’s lungs had nearly given up because of his addiction to drugs, but he rebelled against fate to build a muscular body for his movie roles. Since then, the ride has been dizzying, he says. “I’ve roamed in chartered planes as well as begged on streets for a bus ticket,” says Dutt. “I’ve stayed in the hotels of New York from whose windows the entire city could be seen.
