As we continue to explore possible ways to strengthen our bilateral ties with other nations, it is good to see that all that Bangladesh has to offer has not gone unnoticed, with multiple countries expressing their interest to cooperate in various fields.
In a recent seminar co-organized by the FBCCI and the Finnish embassy, the Finnish ambassador to Bangladesh declared Finnish companies' willingness to invest in Bangladesh -- specifically to collaborate as partners for the development of our energy, smart city, and port management sectors.
The two countries have shared a decades-long friendship, and further collaborations being discussed will not only deepen the existing relationship, but also be a substantial advantage for our progress as a nation.
Bangladesh has a host of great ambitions, and, as per an FBCCI statement, is undergoing an infrastructural reform to match these ambitions. To that end, the funds, expertise, and technological support from Finland can be just the boost we need to reach our developmental goals.
Bangladesh has yet to realize all of its potential as a country, and it is no secret that assistance from developed countries is crucial for us to maintain the impressive pace at which we have been progressing. These discussions, therefore, are extremely encouraging, and indicate that the right decisions are being made in our nation's favour.
Our government and relevant authorities must see to it that these conversations are translated into action. At the same time, we must pursue avenues of partnership with other nations, and build stronger ties based upon trust and mutual benefit.
Our country is at a critical stage of development, and it is imperative that we take proactive measures to make our ambitions a reality.
