Daffodil International University Press has unveiled seven new books published on the occasion of the Amar Ekushey Book Fair 2026.
The book unveiling ceremony took place on March 12 at the Kazi Nazrul Eduplex of the permanent campus of Daffodil International University in Daffodil Smart City.
The event brought together teachers, researchers, writers and students of the university for the formal launch of the newly published titles.
Prof Mohammad Masum Iqbal, pro vice chancellor of the university, attended the program as chief guest.
Special guests included Hamidul Haque Khan, treasurer of the university, and the university librarian.
The event was chaired by Prof AMM Hamidur Rahman, convener of the editorial board of DIU Press.
Officials associated with Daffodil University Press, faculty members from different departments, the authors of the books and invited guests were also present at the ceremony.
Prof Mohammad Masum Iqbal said that the standard and excellence of a university are often measured by the quality of its research and knowledge-based publications.
He noted that DIU Press has been working tirelessly to publish quality books that satisfy readers’ thirst for knowledge and contribute to building an intellectual and creative society.
Among the books published this year are the technology-focused title Machine Learning to Deep Learning: Concepts, Algorithms and Applications by Sadman Sadik Khan, Md Mizanur Rahman, Md Sakibur Rahman, and Aminul Haque, and the academic book An Introduction to Matrices for Tomorrow’s Multimedia Professionals by Apurba Ghosh.
The list also includes the inspirational book Unlocking Leadership: The Volunteering Journey by Md Nazmul Hasan and Bijnanider Hridaypind by Anwar Parvez.
In the literary category, the newly released books include Whispers of a Serene Heart, an English poetry collection by Nibedita Chowdhury, Ontor Atmar Protidhoni by Al Munaf Raju and the poetry book Bilap by Taslim Patowari.
The books are available at the Amar Ekushey Book Fair as well as at the university’s own kiosk shop and on popular e-commerce platforms such as Rokomari, Durbarshop and Prothoma. During the fair, readers can also collect the books from the stalls of Pustak Prokashon (Stall No. 422) and Matribhasha Prokash (Stall Nos. 609–613).
