Gas supply to national grid increases

Gas supply to the national grid has increased, according to data from the Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Division.

At 12pm on Tuesday, a total of 2.61 billion cubic feet (bcf) of gas was supplied to the national grid.

Of the total, 1.62bcf came from domestic sources, while 0.99bcf was supplied as liquefied natural gas (LNG).

Petrobangla data showed that gas supply stood at 2,320 million cubic feet at 6pm on Friday. It increased to 2,362 million cubic feet by 6pm on Sunday and further to 2,375 million cubic feet by 6pm on Monday.

Of Monday’s total supply, 1,611 million cubic feet came from domestic sources, while 764 million cubic feet was supplied as LNG.
