The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has announced strict legal action against individuals illegally hoarding fuel for extra profit, while urging the public to refrain from such practices.

In a press release issued on Saturday, the ministry stated that the supply and storage of fuel across the country remain completely normal.

The Department of Energy and Mineral Resources also advised citizens not to purchase fuel in excess out of fear of shortages.
The statement, signed by the ministry’s public relations officer Imranul Hasan, confirmed that the government is procuring necessary fuel from the international market to ensure an uninterrupted supply in line with demand.

“There is no possibility of any shortage of fuel in the country,” the release said.

The ministry further highlighted the dangers of private fuel storage, emphasizing that petrol, octane, and diesel are highly flammable and pose significant safety risks.

To curb illegal hoarding, mobile courts led by executive magistrates are actively operating in every district, taking action against offenders.

The government has not increased fuel prices, and citizens have been urged to remain vigilant and avoid falling prey to rumors or panic buying.
