The Fuel Pass system is set to be made mandatory for motorcycles refueling at 11 designated filling stations in Dhaka, in a move aimed at regulating fuel distribution and ensuring better monitoring of consumption.
The initiative will initially be implemented in the capital from Tuesday (April 28). Under the new arrangement, motorcyclists will be required to present a valid fuel pass in order to purchase fuel from the selected stations.
The designated stations are: Karim and Sons at Shapla Chattar; Eureka Enterprise Filling Station at Mohakhali; Masud Hasan Filling Station at Airport, Uttara; Messrs Shatota and Company at Tejgaon Industrial Area; Messrs Digonto Filling Station at Ibrahimpur, Mirpur; Messrs Kamal Trading Agency at Shahid Tajuddin Ahmed Sarani, Tejgaon; Messrs SP Filling Station Ltd at Gabtoli, Mirpur; City Filling Station at Tejgaon; Seba Green Filling Station at Uttara; Sam Associates at Mirpur-02; and Sumatra Filling Station at Kalshi Road, Mirpur.
According to the Energy Division, users will be required to register through a dedicated website to obtain a QR code for fuel access. iPhone users may store the QR code digitally via screenshots or printed copies, while those without smartphones will also be able to use printed QR codes to receive fuel.
Meanwhile, authorities have included private vehicles under the “Category Gha” fuel pass registration system and have urged users in this category to complete registration without delay. Previously, registrations were conducted for Categories Ka through Ga.
