A mobile court conducted a drive on Thursday to monitor the supply and stock of fuel in different areas of the capital.
During the operation, several petrol pumps in Dhaka’s Asad Gate, Kalyanpur, Gabtoli and Darus Salam areas were inspected.
Officials observed that some filling stations were supplying fuel normally in line with regulations, while a few had suspended sales after running out of fuel.
Among the inspected stations, Sonar Bangla Filling Station and Talukdar Filling Station at Asad Gate were found operating normally and supplying fuel in accordance with the rules. Mohona Filling Station in Kalyanpur was also seen selling fuel as usual.
In Gabtoli, Shahnaz Filling Station, SP Filling Station, Denso Filling Station and Al-Mahmud Filling Station were also found continuing fuel supply while following the required regulations, according to observations by the mobile court.
However, Sahil Filling Station and Sohrab Services Filling Station in Kalyanpur, Comfort Filling and CNG Station in Gabtoli, and Khalek Filling Station in the Darus Salam area were found “dry” as they had run out of fuel.
Officials involved in the drive said such monitoring operations are being conducted regularly to keep the fuel supply situation normal. They added that necessary action would be taken if any irregularities or hoarding are detected.
